Our purpose is to provide stylish and classic clothing for women who value both fun and functionality in their wardrobe. We make our designs with high quality fabrics and have high standards in our manufacturing process. Every garment is made with you in mind!
We aim to reduce our environmental footprint by sourcing supplies, services, and products locally to reduce transportation emissions.
All product sold at Blushing is locally sourced from Vancouver designers and manufacturers. See Made in Vancouver below for more information about where we get our merchandise, supplies and services.
We use minimal packaging when selling and shipping product, with zero plastic.
- We use paper shopping bags that are made with 100% recycled paper (93-95% post-consumer and 3-5% post-industrial fibers) and water-based inks.
- When shipping product we reuse shipping boxes, or use small recyclable paper envelopes.
Our boutique and studio, 3000 sq ft, are fully lit with LED lighting. The building uses hydro-electric heating.
We have a 5% wastage on fabric, which is minimal because of our low production amounts.

We are proud that we design and manufacture 100% out of Vancouver B.C.
We work with small companies for digitizing patterns, printing markers to having garments cut and sewn. We work with family-run manufactures and home-based sewers, all in Vancouver.
Our labels and print material are all from Vancouver companies. We use B.C. based businesses for 80% of our inventory supplies.
Our fabrics and notions are purchased from B.C. and Canadian suppliers.
Our accounting, banking, coaching, consulting, distribution, media (advertising, etc.), transportation, repair & maintenance, IT services, cleaning services, are locally based. All other services, – 90% of the time it’s a B.C.-based business.
Blushing Boutique is proud to support other local talent by showcasing their work from belts, shape wear, art and jewelry, we host an amazing group of local artists and designers, all made in B.C.
Shelley works with My Sisters Closet, a consignment store that donates its revenue generated from the sales of clothing to help fund violence prevention and intervention services operated by Battered Women’s Support Services. Shelley's volunteer role is to assess the value of donated clothing to MSC to assist them pricing the products for resale.
Shelley works with local fashion, business and design schools by providing internships, guest speaking and donating unused materials.
Blushing Boutique has also donate about 1% of it's revenue to charitable organizations.
At Blushing we strive to represent all women. Our clothing is designed for all body types and our ultimate goal is to make women feel beautiful. We aspire to represent all women in our advertising, using models of various ages, ethnicities, body types, and sizes.
